As part of the organisational development, a central key role is emerging at the interface of IT infrastructure, security & compliance, and DevOps. We are looking for a person who takes ownership and strategically develops the IT landscape towards security, compliance, and automation in the medium term.

Your challenge

System Engineering, Administration & Support (~70%)

• Responsibility for the stable, secure, and efficient operation of the ICT, system, and platform infrastructure
• Maintenance and further development of servers, networks, virtualisation, hosting, and internal system environments
• Ensuring production-critical operations including monitoring, backup, restore, and disaster recovery
• Operational IT support for internal employees
• Management of external IT, hosting, and support partners while maintaining internal ownership

Security & Compliance (~20%)

• Establishment and further development of security and compliance structures
• Participation in topics related to ISO 27001, NIS2, Cyber Resilience Act, and ISMS
• Implementation of IT security policies, best practices, and regulatory requirements
• Ensuring auditability, evidence provision, and proper documentation
• Coordination of security analyses, penetration tests, patch and vulnerability management

DevOps (~10%)

• Development and advancement of modern DevOps practices together with software development
• Automation and standardisation of build, test, deployment, and operational processes
• Further development of CI/CD approaches, scripting, and configuration management
• Expansion of monitoring, logging, observability, and infrastructure-as-code approaches

Your qualities and talents

• Completed technical studies at FH/HF level or a comparable education with relevant professional experience
• 5+ years of professional experience in a technical role in IT infrastructure, system engineering, or IT security with a clear hands-on component
• Solid knowledge in the administration of Windows and Linux servers
• Good knowledge of network technologies such as firewall, VPN, routing, and switching
• You are accustomed to coordinating external IT service providers or hosting partners, defining technical requirements, and at the same time maintaining internal ownership of central IT topics.
• Experience in project management as well as initial contact with DevOps topics such as CI/CD, Git, scripting, monitoring, or infrastructure-as-code is an advantage.
• You communicate very well in German and have good English skills.
• Personally, you convince through initiative, responsibility, and a pronounced hands-on mentality. You think analytically, work in a structured and pragmatic way, and have the will to drive topics forward sustainably.
• You can bring together different interests between business, IT, development, and external partners, explain technical topics understandably, and make clear decisions even in demanding situations.

In the medium term, your focus will shift more towards security & compliance as well as DevOps. At the same time, you will increasingly outsource operational routine tasks to external partners but retain internal ownership of the central IT topics.
