The Office for the Enforcement of Sentences (AJV) Graubünden is a department of the Department of Justice, Security and Health of the Canton of Graubünden. The AJV is responsible for the enforcement of sentences and measures as well as the implementation of various types of detention. In Graubünden, the enforcement of sentences and measures is regulated as a unified subject and holistic task, in which various professional groups work interdisciplinarily with offenders to prevent further delinquency.

The Correctional Facility (JVA) Cazis Tignez employs around 110 staff and has 150 detention places in closed custody. Of these, 100 are in normal custody, ten in the admission department, 28 in the special custody area and twelve in pre-trial detention.

We are looking for a Dipl. Nurse HF from 1 December 2026 or by arrangement.

Your area of responsibility

• Care, support and advice for admitted persons from various cultures in the health sector as well as organisation and implementation of nursing measures taking into account legal, safety and operational requirements
• Organisation of medical rounds and any hospital admissions as well as administrative tasks
• Taking over initial assessments in medical questions and emergencies
• Ordering, checking and preparing medication for dispensing
• Creating medical documentation and writing reports
• Interdisciplinary collaboration with the specialist doctors in somatics, psychiatry, dentistry as well as physiotherapy and all internal departments
• Providing day services from Monday to Friday between 07:00 and 20:00

What we expect from you

• Completed training as a nurse HF with several years of professional experience
• Additional training in emergency medicine, intensive care or psychiatry is an advantage
• You see dealing with people from different cultures who are in difficult life situations as a positive challenge
• Resilient, confident, team- and criticism-capable personality with high social competence who keeps a cool head in delicate situations
• Good IT skills as well as good written and spoken German; spoken foreign language skills are an advantage
• A clean record (no entries in the criminal record and debt enforcement register)
