In addition to the pupils from the two communities Studen and Aegerten, pupils from the neighbouring community Schwadernau also attend the upper school (Cycle 3) in Studen. Tasks
Caring for a child with Type 1 diabetes:
- accompanying the child during lessons
- monitoring blood sugar levels
- taking necessary measures after consultation with the parents: injecting insulin (insulin pen) or administering "sugar"
Supporting and relieving the teachers as classroom assistance:
- supervising certain processes (group or individual work)
- ensuring supervision in various rooms (group room, corridor, playground, etc.)
- accompanying individual children with the aim of enabling them to manage school routines independently (behaviour during lessons, in group or individual work, etc.)
- assistance with everyday and non-teaching-related activities (e.g. accompanying to PE lessons, supervising children when arriving and leaving school, etc.)
- administrative and logistical support (e.g. preparing classrooms, room reservations, collecting parental contributions for class photos, etc.)
- support during project weeks, school trips and excursions
You have exclusively a supportive role. The pedagogical responsibility always lies with the teacher.
Requirements
- Ideally, you have experience in caring for and looking after children and have a corresponding professional background.
- You enjoy working with children.
- You have an impeccable reputation.
- You are of legal age.
- You speak German at least at language level C1.
We Offer
Employment of approx. 18 hours/week
Working days and times:
- Monday to Friday mornings 08:30–11:30
- Monday afternoon 13:40–14:40
- Thursday afternoon 13:40–15:40
A reduction of the workload during the school year may be necessary.
Fixed-term employment from 10.08.2026 to 02.07.2027. Further employment possible.
Remuneration is on a per-lesson basis with a fixed hourly wage of CHF 31.00.
