Tasks
- Responsible for the Traffic Specialist Office
- Deputy of the Chief Rück
- Processing event and permit questions in the area of responsibility, including the creation of permits in consultation and collaboration with the supervising person
- Processing of signaling/traffic technical inquiries, corresponding on-site controls, participation in working groups
- Creating consultations and reports in the field of traffic
- Analysis and implementation of legal adjustments or innovations, including the creation and execution of training in the department
- Analysis of traffic accident data and deriving and preparing suitable measures (e.g. controls) in the sense of a traffic safety advisory function
- Expert advice on traffic law and tactical questions as well as StGB and StPO
- Leading or participating in project and working groups and in specialist committees, as well as networking with other services and partner organizations
- Contributing to the further development and design of the department as well as
- Providing on-call service
Expectations
- Completed basic training as a police officer with federal certificate of competence
- Several years of experience in traffic police
- In-depth knowledge of Swiss traffic law (SVG, VRV) and good knowledge of StGB and StPO
- Willingness to continuously further educate in the field of traffic and as an examination expert in the field of traffic at the Intercantonal Police School in Hitzkirch
- Analytical thinking, high readiness for action and resilience
- Ability to quickly grasp complex situations and act purposefully
- Team and communication skills, even in stressful situations
- Very good German language skills in spoken and written form, knowledge of foreign languages I, E is an advantage
