Job Description

As a Chambermaid, you play a key role in creating a spotless and welcoming environment. Your mission is to ensure the cleanliness and impeccable presentation of the rooms, thus contributing to providing our clients with an exceptional luxury and comfort setting.
With a keen eye for detail and great rigour, you add the finishing touch to the rooms, ensuring that each space is not only clean but also a true haven of peace for our guests.

Summary of Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Floor Housekeeper, the essential responsibilities and functions of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Consistently providing a professional, friendly, and engaging service
- Cleaning all assigned rooms, including dusting, making beds, removing dirty linen from rooms and collecting clean linen from linen cupboards, vacuuming, cleaning the bathroom, cleaning the inside of windows, restocking rooms
- Reviewing the schedule and instructions from the Housekeeper at the Housekeepers’ office
- Maintaining proper use of cleaning products and equipment
- Updating and recording the list of all clean rooms
- Returning and labelling all lost and found items in the housekeeping office
- Learning and applying the technical and emotional standards of LQA
- Committing to the quality of service, discretion, and absolute honesty
- Maintaining a professional attitude, smiling, and remaining calm at all times
- Respecting ergonomic work standards in health & safety rules, hygiene, and sanitary prescriptions
- Adhering to the department and company policies, procedures, and service standards
- Performing any other tasks as assigned
Qualifications
- Previous housekeeping experience is an asset
- Previous experience in a 4* or 5* hotel is an asset
- Good knowledge of the French language
- Knowledge of English is an asset
- Highly organised with a sharp eye for detail
- Particularly responsible and reliable
- Ability to work in a team
- Ability to focus on guests’ needs while remaining calm and courteous at all times
Physical Implications of the Position:
The physical implications of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Constant: standing and walking throughout the work period
- Frequent: lifting and carrying loads
- Frequent: kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
- Occasional: climbing up or down ladders, stairs, and ramps

VISA REQUIREMENTS
To work in Switzerland, the candidate must hold a Swiss work permit or be from an EU-17 or EU-8 European country.
