Today FC Basel. Tomorrow Zurich Fair. The day after tomorrow a congress and in between an exclusive menu for 1,000 guests at a corporate event.

You operate in the lively environment of event catering at top locations in Basel and Zurich – from the fair to the Congress Centre to the Musical Theatre or Stadtcasino. The Job

As Deputy Head Stewarding, you ensure together with your team that everything runs smoothly behind the scenes of our diverse events. In the absence of the Head of Stewarding and at the events assigned to you, you take over the leadership of our permanent staff and temporary workers and ensure compliance with our quality and hygiene standards.
You further develop our cleaning concepts, train employees and support deployment planning, recruitment and the provision of equipment. Regular inventories of crockery, cutlery and equipment also fall within your area of responsibility.
You keep an overview even in hectic situations, actively pitch in yourself and lead by example. With your ideas and experience, you actively contribute to the further development of our workflows and processes.

Your Profile

• Completed training as a hotel housekeeping specialist EFZ or equivalent professional experience
• Several years of professional experience in stewarding, gastronomy/hotellerie or facility management
• Initial leadership experience and enjoyment in guiding and motivating employees
• Strong organisational talent, flexibility and the ability to keep an overview even in hectic situations
• High quality and hygiene awareness as well as an independent, solution-oriented working style
• In-depth knowledge in handling professional cleaning equipment, cleaning agents and hygiene standards
• Very good German skills in spoken and written form as well as good oral English skills; Spanish skills are an advantage
• Confident handling of common office applications and digital working tools
• Willingness to work irregular hours, especially evenings and weekends, and a hands-on mentality
