The gibb Vocational School Bern is a cantonal vocational school of the Canton of Bern.
We teach around 7,000 learners in over 60 commercial-industrial professions and additionally train about 1,000 professionals part-time in higher vocational education (HBB).
The gibb runs the Higher Technical School for Computer Science (HFI) according to the framework curriculum Diploma Computer Scientist HF with around 200 students. The focuses (formerly specializations) are Application Engineering, Cyber Security, and Platform Engineering.

Tasks
- Management of qualification procedures according to study regulations and framework curriculum
- Deputy head of the Higher Technical School for Computer Science
- Organization and execution of qualification procedures (pre-examinations, diploma examinations, practical and written diploma projects)
- Financial accounting for the qualification procedure
- Organizational and personnel management of examination experts
- Needs-based coaching of students in the diploma process
- Teaching activity in the subject Project Management Methodologies (preparation for the diploma process)
- Interface to the examination board and other committees
- Further collaboration in internal innovation projects possible
Requirements
- Enjoyment in dealing with people
- Completed education (HF, FH, university or ETH) in the field of computer science / computer sciences
- Quick grasp of new technologies, methods, and concepts of computer science
- Several years of professional experience in computer science, preferably in one of the HFI focuses
- Communicative and team-oriented personality with leadership skills
- Organizational talent with assertiveness
- Independent working style with high sense of responsibility
- Didactic knowledge or willingness to acquire it
