Tasks
handling and managing LCL & FCL sea freight shipments
preparing the necessary documents for shipping and export/ customs clearance
liaising with customers, generating quotations
maintaining contacts with agents/ partners
checking invoices from service providers
processing complaints
general commercial activities in the sea freight business
Requirements
completed training in the freight forwarding sector (freight forwarding clerk, freight forwarding and logistics services clerk, etc.)
already some experience in sea freight (ideally in export, but can also be from import sea freight business)
IT Skills
user knowledge of Word/ Outlook
company-specific freight forwarding software (which is known to be learned quickly)
Languages
German: knowledge (intermediate oral and written skills are sufficient) – the main client’s company language is English
English: good oral and written skills (at freight forwarding level)
