Neuhausen am Rheinfall, with over 12,000 inhabitants, is the second largest municipality in the canton of Schaffhausen. For our Building Department, we are seeking a committed individual starting 1 January 2027 or by arrangement

Building Permit Specialist (60 - 80%)

Your main future responsibilities

• Comprehensive support of building applications from examination to decision.
• Preparation of building law decisions as well as drafting statements on objections, appeals and consultations of the canton.
• Competent contact person for builders, planners and cantonal authorities.
• Approval of PV systems, colour concepts and construction site installations.
• Management of insurance values, water connection fees and building files.
• Accurate maintenance of the building and housing register including quarterly closures.

 What you ideally bring with you

• Completed training in construction (preferably in structural engineering, e.g. as a draughtsperson EFZ specialising in architecture).
• Sound knowledge of planning and building law as well as confident handling of legal requirements, standards (SIA and VSS) and political processes.
• Good understanding of plans and strong spatial imagination.
• Experience with specialised software such as GemDat and CMI is an advantage.
• Independent and structured approach, combined with strong teamwork skills and assertiveness.
