About the job
Your Tasks
- Teaching practical and theoretical fundamentals in the field of Situated Language Practice
- Development and implementation of teaching formats that combine writing, speaking, and language practices with experimental, spatial, media, or collective strategies
- Supervision of student projects from conception to presentation and critical reflection
- Impulses for alternative presentation and mediation formats (e.g., performative or situational readings, collective language processes, installative or public formats)
- Active collaboration in the K++V team as well as participation in team meetings, colloquia, and public events
- Contributing your own expertise to the internal team competence development in the area of language and writing
Your Profile
- Completed university degree (Master or Diploma)
- Established, recognized position in the field of artistic, experimental, poetic, or situated language and writing practices
- Independent practice at the intersection of language, body, voice, sound, art, literature, or mediation
- Experience with presentation forms beyond classical literary or institutional formats
- National and/or international networking
- Proven didactic experience, ideally in a higher education context
- Enjoyment of collective work processes and team-oriented collaboration
- Very good German and English skills
The call is aimed at independent positions from visual arts, poetic or experimental writing, who critically engage with language, body, identity, and publicness. We are looking for a person who understands their practice and language as situated, relational, somatic, sonic, or performative. The focus is not on language as a finished work or text product, but as action, process, presence, and social situation.
We especially encourage people from underrepresented groups regarding gender, nationality, ethnic or social origin, religion, disability, or age to apply. Applications from collectives or collaboratively working positions are explicitly welcome. A clear division of labor and a binding contact person are required. The position is offered as a visiting professorship with a total workload of 35%.
