About the job
As a non-profit organisation based in Bern, we initiate, promote and implement projects for resource-conserving livelihoods. We support measures for sustainable agriculture, promote soil protection, advocate for sustainable food systems and engage with current social issues. The World Field and the Stiftsgarten in Bern's Old Town represent our charitable commitment. In addition, we are involved – partly through subsidiaries – in the prevention of food waste, social participation and urban gardening. We are the publisher of the newspaper Schweizer Bauer.
For our office in Zollikofen, we are looking for a
Managing Director (80 – 100%)
Your tasks
- You are responsible for the overall operational management of our association and lead the office with around 15 employees.
- You work closely with the board and other management bodies, prepare meetings and ensure the implementation of resolutions.
- You are responsible for implementing projects within the framework of the strategy approved by the board.
- You support strategic planning.
- Together with our communication specialists, you ensure good communication within OGG and externally.
Your profile
- You have a university degree or a higher professional qualification.
- You have several years of professional and leadership experience in a non-profit organisation and can identify with the values of OGG Bern.
- You have a strong interest in sustainable agriculture, soil protection, sustainable food systems as well as environmental and social issues.
- Further training in NPO management is an advantage.
- You live a cooperative, open and transparent leadership style based on trust, clear responsibilities and decisions, and a focus on achieving goals together.
- You are familiar with the use of modern software solutions.
- You enjoy actively driving projects with high social benefit in a small and committed team.
