Complemedis AG in Trimbach and Phytax GmbH in Schlieren are two independent Swiss companies with different fields of activity.

Complemedis is a pharmaceutical company and a specialised pharmacy focusing on Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). The company imports high-quality pharmaceutical raw materials and produces customised medicines from them.

Phytax is a GMP-certified analytical laboratory specialising in the quality testing of natural substances. The analysis spectrum includes, among others, herbal medicines, medical cannabis, foodstuffs, and dietary supplements.

For the joint management of the finance and controlling departments of both companies, we are looking for a committed, digitally savvy individual who takes responsibility, thinks entrepreneurially, and enjoys hands-on work. A particular focus is on the automation and digitalisation of our accounting processes.

Your tasks

Finance & Accounting

• Overall responsibility for the finance and accounting of both companies, including quarterly and annual financial statements
• Management of operational accounting
• Ensuring proper accounts receivable and accounts payable accounting as well as payment transactions
• Monitoring liquidity and financial planning

Controlling

• Development and further enhancement of meaningful management reporting for both companies
• Budgeting, forecasts, and analysis of business management key figures
• Preparation of product calculations, contribution margin, and profitability analyses
• Support of management in business management issues

HR Administration

• Responsibility for personnel administration including payroll and social insurance
• Preparation and management of employment contracts, references, and other personnel documents
• Administrative handling of entries and exits, contract changes, and absences
• Coordination of labour law issues with an external expert

Digitalisation, Automation & Processes

• Systematic analysis of existing processes and identification of automation potentials
• Design and implementation of automated processes, especially in invoice processing, payment allocation, dunning, and reporting
• Further development of the software solutions used and optimisation of interfaces between systems
• Ensuring efficient, transparent, and comprehensible workflows and internal control mechanisms
• Collaboration with external partners such as fiduciary, audit, and IT service providers

Your profile

• Solid training in finance and accounting, for example, a federal diploma or comparable qualification
• Professional experience in finance and accounting of a Swiss SME
• Confidence in financial statement preparation according to Swiss accounting law and good knowledge of VAT
• Experience in controlling and enthusiasm for business management analyses
• Good knowledge of Swiss payroll and personnel administrationStrong IT affinity and practical experience in digitalising or automating commercial processes
• Ability to critically question existing processes and independently drive pragmatic improvements
• Independent, structured, and reliable working style
• Entrepreneurial thinking, initiative, and a pronounced hands-on mentality
• Enjoyment of working in a small team
