About the job
Westwind Residential and Work Integration is a social institution that offers housing and workplaces to people with cognitive or psychological impairments. Together with this target group, we tackle the working day and complete customer orders with full commitment.
A highlight of our work is the garden area: Our team is practically always on the move, from garden to garden and from site to site. We redesign outdoor spaces, bring existing facilities up to standard, and ensure that green areas, paths, and squares look well maintained all around.
Are you really keen to get stuck in outdoors with us and support people at work? Then get in touch!
Your Tasks
- You accompany small groups of 2–5 people with support needs throughout the day and guide them professionally and pedagogically in the various tasks.
- In horticulture, you implement new and redesign projects professionally. From paving and walls to planting and smaller construction projects.
- In garden maintenance, you care for green spaces, lawns, hedges, borders, and paths, ensuring everything stays in top condition.
- Winter service, machine maintenance, material organisation, or spontaneous assignments. You tackle whatever is needed.
- Is there an emergency with the other groups? Then you are on hand.
- Of course, everything follows our care procedures, and you also participate in meetings.
Requirements
- Very important: You are full of energy, cheerful, and really enjoy the job. You also love contact with people.
- You have completed training as a landscape gardener EFZ and bring solid professional experience. You know your craft and what you are doing.
- You are eager to pass on your expertise and to guide and support people with support needs at work.
- You have drive, work neatly and independently, see what needs to be done, and have your work under control.
- You hold a category B driving licence. Do you also have the trailer test? Even better!
- You understand dialect and are proficient with digital tools.
- Endurance, flexibility, humour, and a cool head – even when things get hectic.
We Offer
- An exciting job in a lively company.
- Weekends off.
- Progressive employment conditions.
- Lots of creative freedom in the gardens and room for your own projects.
- The chance to engage with pedagogical principles.
- Your own gym room for breaks and otherwise cool workspaces.
