About the job
Research Associate Human Resources & Governance 80 - 100%FORWARD-LOOKING AND CONNECTED THINKING
The Secondary and Vocational Education Office (MBA) helps shape upper secondary education in the Canton of Zurich. In the Finance and Human Resources Schools department, we support the cantonal middle and vocational schools in financial and personnel matters. We rely on trust, personal responsibility, open communication, and collaboration.
To further develop our HR work, we are seeking reinforcement from January 2027. The position is limited to four years and offers plenty of scope for input and co-creation.
What you will do
Primarily, you will implement the personnel law changes of the new school management in the Governance Sec II project. This includes permanent appointments instead of fixed terms for school management, job sharing, and the delineation of personnel responsibilities between the school commission, school management, and the Department of Education. You will accompany the practical implementation and develop the necessary processes and templates. Additionally, you will handle topics such as reliefs, further training, or evaluations and develop practical solutions for our schools.
What you bring
You have a university degree, ideally in law, political science, or public administration, and bring experience in the public sector or good knowledge of public personnel law. You enjoy taking responsibility, are decisive, and possess assertiveness. You think analytically, write clearly and understandably, and enjoy structuring and further developing complex topics. Experience in project management, especially according to HERMES, is a plus.
You work in an organised, independent manner, contribute your own ideas. You communicate openly and straightforwardly and contribute to good collaboration.
What to expect
A role with social relevance, plenty of scope for creativity and personal responsibility, flexible working arrangements including home office, and an open office culture. From January 2027, we will be working at our new, centrally located site at Zeughausstrasse 11 in Zurich. If you have any questions, your future supervisor, beatrice.hasler@mba.zh.ch, will be happy to assist you.
