Pharmacist in Analytical Sciences for the Pharmacy Service
The Directorate of the Department of Interdisciplinary Centers (DCI) is looking for a pharmacist with a 60% position for the Pharmacy Quality Control Unit, under an open-ended contract. The starting date is scheduled for February 1, 2026, or to be agreed upon.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, it plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
The Pharmacy Service of the CHUV is responsible for the manufacturing and supply of pharmaceutical products to the hospital, the rational use of medicines, as well as teaching and research in the field of hospital pharmacy.
Mission
- You ensure the management of the routine quality control laboratory (in the absence of the manager)
- You participate in the management of the laboratory quality system: procedures, work instructions, non-conformity reports
- You supervise out-of-routine analyses and participate in the development and validation of analytical methods such as UHPLC-UV/MS
- You actively collaborate in the smooth running of the laboratory and various internal projects
- You participate in the pre- and postgraduate training of pharmacy students
- You occasionally participate in on-call schedules during weekends.
Profile
- You hold a federal pharmacist diploma (or recognized equivalent), with experience in analytical sciences and/or quality control including microbiology
- You possess an FPH title in hospital pharmacy, as well as hospital experience which will be important assets
- You have at least 3 years of professional experience in analytical sciences and knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- You have excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office, etc.)
- You are autonomous and possess great scientific and professional rigor
- You have excellent communication skills, an open mind, and maintain a respectful and collaborative work attitude
- You are fluent in English and French.
