As a Senior Product Manager, you take on end-to-end responsibility for one or more products from the product portfolio – including content-related, qualitative, and economic responsibility.
You manage particularly demanding, business-critical, or strategically relevant products with significant professional, regulatory, or economic impact and act as a professional point of reference within the product organisation.
You develop a clear product vision and strategy and ensure through active lifecycle management that your products are developed sustainably in a professionally meaningful, technologically viable manner, taking into account the available budgets.
In a highly regulated environment, you respond proactively to legal changes, changing customer needs, and technological developments. In doing so, you balance stability and innovation – with the aim of securing the existing customer base in the long term and continuously developing the products towards the future.
What you achieve
Product responsibility & strategy
End-to-end responsibility for products throughout the entire lifecycle (vision, strategy, further development, launch)
Development and maintenance of a clear product strategy and product roadmap in coordination with portfolio management, business owners, and relevant stakeholders
Economic management of product development, including cost, budget, and prioritisation decisions
Transparent preparation of costs, benefits, and impacts of product decisions as a basis for portfolio and investment decisions
Active management of conflicts of objectives between legal requirements, customer demands, technical feasibility, and available resources
Development of viable product strategies even under high uncertainty and complex conditions
Moderation and resolution of challenging conflicts of objectives between customers, departments, regulatory requirements, and technical conditions
Requirements management & product design
Systematic identification and evaluation of customer requirements as well as legal changes
Derivation and definition of current and future product features (epics, features)
Professional questioning, co-designing, and representing of professional and functional product concepts
Collaboration & implementation
Close collaboration with agile development teams to ensure high-quality and timely implementation
Regular professional alignment with customers, development, architecture, testing, user experience, and operations
Promotion of effective, solution-oriented collaboration across team and departmental boundaries
Professional support and coaching of product managers and junior product managers
Contribution to the further development of product management standards, methods, and decision quality within the organisation
Why you succeed
Completed higher education (HF/FH/Uni) in computer science, business informatics, business administration, or comparable qualification
At least 5 years of demonstrably successful experience in product management of complex digital products, ideally in enterprise content management
Experience in collaboration with/management of user experience and/or solution design
Proven experience in dealing with high professional, regulatory, or organisational complexity
Ability to make well-founded and viable decisions in different situations
Sound knowledge of agile product development (Scrum, ideally SAFe®)
Experience in stakeholder management in complex organisational and system landscapes
Analytical, structured working style and the ability to understand complex issues
High quality awareness as well as pronounced customer and solution orientation
Very good German skills (at least level C1), additional national languages are an advantage
