Test Manager fixed-term 12 months 100%Welcome to the fascinating world of taxes! The cantonal tax office, together with the municipal tax offices, collects taxes for the federal government, the canton, and the municipalities. We support private individuals and companies throughout the entire tax collection process. Around 800 qualified employees are committed to this at the location in Zurich Altstetten.
As a Test Manager, you bear a central responsibility in our change process. Our services support over 2,500 municipal and cantonal employees daily as well as over one million private individuals and companies annually with tax declarations. Our specialist applications are developed by suppliers and integrated and operated by us.
To strengthen our test management team, we are looking for a temporary assistant who will take on a role of sustainable importance for the canton of Zurich for 12 months from the start date. There is possibly the opportunity to extend the employment beyond this or to switch to a permanent position.
Tasks:
- In your role, you are responsible for test management in relation to adjustments of assigned applications.
- You analyse individual software adjustments and develop the test concept and test planning from them.
- You coordinate resources during test execution (test routes, data, accounts, and tools), support the creation and execution of manual E2E test cases, and prepare consolidated test reports.
- You work closely with release management, application managers, and specialists from the departments. You represent the Release Manager during their absences.
- Approximately 20% of your working time is spent managing the operation of our test management and ticket systems with our providers.
- Together with your colleagues, you optimise processes in test, release, and deployment management.
Profile:
- You have solid professional experience in a comparable role and quickly familiarise yourself with your new environment.
- You hold an advanced qualification in computer science. Certifications such as ITIL® or ISTQB are advantageous.
- You adapt well to a team in transition and are motivated to actively develop yourself and your colleagues.
- You work in a structured manner and act responsibly.
- You know how to lead your colleagues laterally.
- Your initiative, service orientation, and confident German language skills in spoken and written form complete your profile.
