Description
Bringing AI projects from proof-of-concept to production is a complex journey. It involves managing experiments, ensuring reproducibility, and deploying robust pipelines. With GenAI, the challenges shift, as prompt management, evaluation of non-deterministic outputs, document preparation, and versioning become central concerns.
Indeed, operationalizing AI and GenAI projects requires more than just good models; it demands robust tooling and processes.
In this internship, you’ll take on the challenge of designing and deploying an internal X-Ops platform that supports the operational needs of AI, ML, and GenAI projects. Your first step will be to explore and compare the tools currently available on the market, identifying those best suited to our environment. From there, you’ll build a platform that includes reusable scripts and components, making it easy to integrate into client projects.
To promote the platform's practicality and effectiveness, you will establish comprehensive guidelines and templates for its application and implement them within an existing project to validate your methodology. You’ll work with AI, ML, and Data Engineers at ELCA by interviewing them to learn about their workflows and inform your recommendations.
This internship offers a hands-on opportunity to tackle these challenges by building a unified X-Ops platform that supports both ML and GenAI workflows. You'll explore solutions for topics such as automatic LLM/RAG evaluation, A/B testing, and prompt lifecycle management, while ensuring compatibility with model deployment and production environments. Your work will directly improve how we experiment, validate, and scale AI solutions, making a lasting impact on future projects at ELCA.
This is both an educational and professional development opportunity in a rapidly evolving technological landscape.
Objectives
