About the job

For many years, we have been delivering meals to elderly people in Arlesheim through volunteers. The meals are delivered from Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays) between 9 and 11 am to the customers' homes. The food can be warmed in the microwave. It is also possible to rent an induction hob from us for 10 francs per month. There is a choice of a 4-course menu with the following diet types: regular diet with meat, vegetarian diet, diabetic and light diet. The price per lunch is 16.50 francs. We are currently looking for additional volunteer meal drivers to complement our existing team. You enjoy interacting with elderly people and like to take time for a chat. You deliver meals using your own car. You have time for regular assignments and commit to them reliably. You decide your own personal regularity. Helping out is a benefit for everyone: you facilitate social contacts. People with age-related limitations can live independently at home for longer. The volunteer helpers can exchange experiences and meet new people. Once a year, the helper team is invited to a fine dinner at Obesunne. Fuel costs are reimbursed by us and emergencies are covered by our liability insurance. The contact person for both new customers and interested drivers is Jonas Hubeli, telephone number 061 705 07 20 or email: jonas.hubeli@obesunne.ch. We look forward to meeting you.
