In view of the planned Care strike in 2027, we are looking for you to strengthen our care team in Bern from 1 August 2026 or by arrangement. The position is limited until the end of 2027; subsequent continued employment is possible.
Organiser:in Care and Support 80-100%
What you will achieve
Agitating, empowering and organising – with dynamism and persuasiveness, you will work together with employees from healthcare institutions in the Bern region to improve working conditions. You will address carers and support workers, recruit them as members, organise them and support the establishment of trade union structures in companies and the sector. A special focus is on the campaign and movement around the Care strike 2027 under the motto "Do you care?". As part of the follow-up, you will evaluate the experiences, strengthen the networks created and help to sustainably anchor the trade union movement in the companies. What you bring
- Completed vocational training or degree
- Experience in political work in trade unions, associations, NGOs or social movements
- Experience in group leadership and moderation
- Structured and conceptual thinking and working
- Teamwork skills as well as implementation and result orientation
- High intercultural competence and pronounced communication skills
- Flexibility and willingness to occasionally work weekends and evenings
- Commitment and resilience
- IT user skills, driving licence category B
