Our business unit MatChar (Material Characterization) develops mechatronic systems of the highest quality and performance to determine a wide range of thermal and mechanical properties. They are used by our global customers for research, development and quality assurance of substances and materials of all kinds. To strengthen our R&D organisation at the global operational headquarters in Nänikon-Greifensee, our Software Development Team is looking immediately for 6-12 months (with option to extend) for a working student Embedded Software Engineering C++, 40-80%. In this role, you will support our embedded software team in the further development of our device software and be closely involved in everyday collaboration with the development team. The workload and working hours can be flexibly and well coordinated with your studies, especially with regard to exam periods and semester breaks. We also offer you the necessary flexibility in the working model: at the Nänikon site you work in a hybrid model with home office options. In this role you will take on the following tasks: Contributing to the further development of our embedded software for device applications. Improving test coverage by writing unit tests. Migrating existing code base to newer C++ standards, especially C++20, using static code analysis. Implementing specific functions and extensions for our applications.
