Our team is looking for you as Team Leader / Municipal Audit

Do you want to lead an experienced team, ensure the quality of the audit work and actively help shape its further development?

The municipal audit independently examines around 160 municipal tax offices in the canton of Zurich based on legal requirements. The focus is on the various areas of state taxes as well as the interfaces with the cantonal tax office. In doing so, we support the cantonal tax office in its supervisory responsibility and make an important contribution to quality assurance and the further development of tax processes in the canton of Zurich.

Your tasks – you lead, shape and make a difference:

• You lead and develop your team: You accompany a team of 3–5 experienced auditors, strengthen their individual skills and create an environment in which collaboration, personal responsibility and further development are actively lived.
• You are responsible for risk analyses and audit planning: You develop, maintain and implement the risk analyses as well as the audit and inspection plan.
• You ensure quality: You ensure that audits in the areas of procurement, registers, finance and assessment are carried out carefully, consistently and professionally correctly.
• You coordinate the audit work: You ensure that quality, deadline and quantity targets are met, keep an overview of the audit progress and ensure reliable controlling and reporting.
• You stay close to practice: You conduct selected audits on site at the municipal tax offices yourself and bring your expertise and experience directly into play.
• You provide advisory support to the municipal tax offices: You answer questions, discuss findings and explain technical contexts.

Your profile – this is what you bring:

• You bring experience: You have solid professional experience in the tax, accounting or audit environment – for example as a mandate manager in auditing, as a trustee or tax advisor.
• You want to advance professionally: You have advanced training in one of the mentioned areas or a business administration degree and are willing to continuously develop your knowledge.
• You support and promote your team: You like to share your knowledge, have an open ear for technical questions and support your employees in further development and in achieving the set goals together.
• You appear confident and represent your opinion with poise: You work precisely, think critically and persist even with complex issues. In demanding situations, you communicate clearly, argue factually and do not lose your composure easily.
• You communicate to the point: You express yourself very well orally and in writing in German and can also convey complex matters understandably.
• You like to be on the move: You bring a high degree of flexibility and enjoy working on-site at the municipal tax offices in the canton of Zurich on a daily basis.
