The Social Services Association of the Rheinfelden District GSBR was founded in 1980.
It is an organisation of regional municipalities offering social services and support. The association is supported by 14 member municipalities, which utilise services in various ways. The GSBR (approx. 80 employees) includes the areas of the head office, specialist centre for personal counselling, professional guardianship, school social work, speech therapy service, mother and father counselling, mit.dabei-Fricktal and asylum support. www.gsbr.ch

For the overall management and future-oriented development of our association, we are seeking an engaged and convincing leader for the Rheinfelden location from 01.01.2027 or by arrangement as

Managing Director (80 – 100%)

Your role:

• Leading the head office and managing the specialist areas
• Assuming operational overall responsibility for the association
• Managing affairs within the strategic guidelines set by the board
• Representing the association externally and shaping its public perception
• Ensuring together with the area managers that the association’s services are delivered with high quality, tailored to needs, and economically
• Reporting and close collaboration with the board and member municipalities

Your profile:

• Experienced leader with a strong understanding of social and societal issues
• Completed tertiary-level studies in a field relevant to the role (e.g. Social Work, Social Sciences, Public Management or Business Administration)
• Ideally with additional qualifications in areas such as coaching, mediation or conflict management
• Several years of demonstrably successful leadership experience in the strategic development of organisations and services as well as personnel, organisational and financial responsibility
• Good understanding of the professional, legal and political framework conditions of social services
• Entrepreneurial thinking and confident handling of finances, resources and management tools
• Experience in working with political authorities and various stakeholders
• Convincing, appreciative and dialogue-oriented leadership style with decisiveness, empathy and high personal integrity
