On behalf of one of our clients, an industrial company renowned for the quality and innovation of its professional equipment, we are looking for a Automation Technician with Federal VET Diploma / Electrical Reference to strengthen their assembly team.
Responsibilities
Within the production department, you will actively participate in the manufacturing, assembly, and commissioning of equipment while providing your technical expertise in the electrical field.
Your main tasks are as follows:
- Perform wiring and electrical connections of equipment.
- Assemble mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical sub-assemblies.
- Carry out functional checks, adjustments, and final tests before delivery.
- Install and update firmware as well as embedded electronic systems.
- Collaborate with the technical office during testing, improvement, and product validation phases.
- Occasionally intervene with clients for troubleshooting, commissioning, or technical assistance operations.
Your role as technical reference
In addition to your operational activities, you will hold a key position within the workshop as a specialist in electrical and electronic matters.
In this capacity, you:
- Serve as the technical reference for electrical and electronic systems.
- Provide technical support to the assembly teams.
- Assist the workshop manager with certain coordination tasks.
- Contribute to continuous process improvement and optimisation of working methods.
Profile
- Federal VET diploma as automation technician, automation assembler, electromechanic, or equivalent training.
- Proven experience in assembly, manufacturing, or industrial production.
- Very good knowledge of industrial electricity, automation, and electronics.
- Proficiency in reading electrical diagrams.
- Experience in firmware configuration or updating is a valued asset.
- Good analytical and technical diagnostic skills.
- Autonomous, rigorous, and quality-oriented personality.
- Excellent command of French.
- Knowledge of German (ideally B2 level) for communication with Swiss German-speaking clients.
- Availability for occasional travel within Switzerland.
