THE POSITION
CHANEL is looking for a Legal Intern who will be responsible for providing comprehensive support to our Swiss legal team, managing a wide range of legal and assistance tasks, and coordinating legal and administrative activities and projects.
YOUR MISSIONS
Within a newly integrated legal and intellectual property team, you will support the team across a wide range of tasks, collaborating with external lawyers, internal clients, and colleagues worldwide. Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting accurate legal research and analysis,
- Documenting and entering information into the case database, maintaining and updating databases and tracking systems, including the implementation of ALM,
- Compiling, proofreading, and assisting in drafting documents,
- Keeping records and filing documents in both electronic and paper formats,
- Communicating updates and project progress,
- Verifying outstanding balances with external legal advisors,
- Preparing summaries and materials for presentations and training sessions, as well as organising materials for files and projects,
- Drafting meeting minutes and notes,
- Reading professional publications, creating and organising information to generate reference tools and update expertise,
- Ensuring effective and efficient administrative information and assistance to the legal team,
- Managing calendars, including organising meetings and videoconferences/conference calls (external and internal),
- Managing and organising travel preparations and itineraries, as well as travel expenses, reports, and invoice processing,
- Managing events - coordinating team and stakeholder events (selecting venues/dinners/luncheons, as well as contributing to setting the agenda and guest list).

WHO YOU ARE
- Degree in law (or equivalent) preferred.
- Previous experience in a legal environment preferred.
- Administrative, organisational, and research skills.
- Knowledge of fundamental legal principles.
- Team spirit.
- Proactive, pragmatic, and detail-oriented.
- Interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in French and English and, preferably, practical knowledge of German.
- Computer skills, including Microsoft Office (O365 Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, Teams), and willingness to learn to use new tools.
An internship agreement is required for this position.
