About the job
Scientific collaborator for air protection at 80%
- SENE66
- Our mission is to protect humans and the environment. We monitor the evolution of air quality, take measures concerning land use, storage and use of chemical substances, as well as emissions into the air. We aim to prevent accidents that could cause serious harm to the population and the environment, while limiting exposure to noise, radon and non-ionising radiation.
As a scientific collaborator, you plan and participate in measurement campaigns of pollutant emissions into the air, mainly in the industrial sector. In this capacity, you collect data, take positions, participate in report preparation and also ensure the maintenance of analysers.
Furthermore, you handle preliminary opinion requests related to building permits and manage complaints related to air protection.
As an actor in air quality and meteorological monitoring, you process the collected data ensuring the reliability of measurement-related procedures.
You implement the cantonal measurement plan on air protection and periodically verify its efficiency, notably by administratively monitoring major emitters and keeping the pollutant emissions register up to date.
Finally, you inform and advise individuals, professionals, companies or public services on air protection matters and participate in exchange meetings with cantonal, communal authorities and representatives, while also providing your expertise within inter-cantonal working groups.
Holder of a university degree (bachelor or master) in a scientific field or an equivalent qualification, you have 4 to 7 years of professional experience in a scientific environment, ideally in chemistry or physics. Specific knowledge in the field of gases is an asset for this position.
You have an excellent command of French, both written and spoken, and possess good knowledge of German.
Autonomous while appreciating teamwork, you stand out through your initiative, analytical and synthesis skills, as well as your rigour and precision. Equipped with good interpersonal skills and a public service mindset, you communicate easily and demonstrate a strong professional conscience. Finally, you hold a driving licence.
