Sustainability Specialist (all)

Do you want to help shape the sustainability of Power Grid and drive change with your expertise to achieve measurable impact?

In this key role, you will further develop the sustainability management of Power Grid and strategically as well as operationally anchor sustainability within the business unit. You set the right priorities, bring together different stakeholders, and independently drive topics from the idea stage.

Your sphere of influence

• You develop and implement the sustainability management of Power Grid based on the BKW sustainability framework and derive concrete goals and measures
• You prepare sustainability topics appropriately for the target audience and support the executive management and management with well-founded decision-making bases
• Together with the specialist departments, you integrate sustainability into relevant processes, structures, and decision-making paths
• You initiate, accompany, and realise cross-departmental projects in the areas of people, climate, nature, and energy
• You manage sustainability goals and KPIs and derive concrete recommendations for action
• As a central contact person, you promote the sustainability culture, support compliance with relevant ESG requirements, and maintain internal as well as external networks

Your expertise

• Completed university degree and several years of experience in sustainability management with sound knowledge of relevant ESG and sustainability topics
• Several years of professional experience in a comparable role, ideally in the energy, infrastructure, or industry-related environment
• Experience in leading demanding, cross-departmental projects from conception to implementation as well as in moderating workshops
• Analytical and conceptual strength combined with a structured, solution-oriented, and pragmatic working style as well as high independence and ownership
• Strong communication skills and confidence in dealing with executive management and senior stakeholders as well as experience in building networks and partnerships
• Very good German language skills in spoken and written form; knowledge of French is an advantage
