Case Manager fixed-term for 12 months with option for extension 80%Correctional Services and Reintegration (JuWe) is an office of the Directorate of Justice and the Interior of the Canton of Zurich and employs around 1,400 women and men from diverse professions. JuWe is primarily responsible for the enforcement of court sentences and the execution of pre-trial detention. For the employees of the office, the prevention of recidivism and the successful social reintegration of offenders is of particular importance.
The Probation and Enforcement Services (BVD) are one of eight main departments of the Correctional Services and Reintegration Office (JuWe) and are responsible for the enforcement of custodial sentences and court-ordered measures as well as for probation assistance. They make an important contribution to crime prevention and the social integration of offenders.
The probation assistance departments are responsible for resource- and risk-oriented counselling within the framework of probation assistance as well as for case management of supervision orders, activity, contact and area bans.
For this department, we are looking for a committed, confident and assertive personality to start immediately or by arrangement.
This is your field of activity
- You manage probation mandates with a focus on reducing recidivism and social integration.
- You accompany and coordinate release preparations from penal and measure enforcement with clients, their support networks and the involved institutions.
- In addition, you monitor compliance with orders as well as activity, contact and area bans, organise concrete material assistance for your clients and support them in the areas of relapse prevention, housing, work, finances and health.
- Through your collaboration, you actively shape and develop the department.
This is what you bring with you
- After completing your studies in social work or psychology (or with a comparable background), you ideally have several years of professional experience in counselling people in difficult life situations or in a similar activity. Knowledge of correctional services, forensic psychiatry and/or case management is an advantage.
- You are interested in forensic psychiatry and criminology as well as in working with mentally ill and addicted offenders.
- Interdisciplinary collaboration and coordination with various partners is something you enjoy. You work efficiently, precisely and systematically.
- You can express yourself confidently in written and spoken German and have strong counselling and communication skills. You are proficient in the MS Office suite.
