Field of activity
Provides four hours of teaching per week, mainly within the Bachelor in Communication Sciences (French-speaking) and, if necessary, in the Master in Business Communication
Supervises Bachelor and Master theses, as well as seminar papers
Brings excellent quality research projects, publishes the results and works towards obtaining research funding
Requirements
Excellent doctoral thesis in communication or in a field closely related to social sciences, with a clear anchoring in the study of communication phenomena, media, and/or organisations and their strategic communication
Interdisciplinary profiles combining Communication Sciences and another field are encouraged. The successful candidate must conduct research in the field of communication and media (e.g. journalism, media uses and effects, political communication) and/or strategic communication of organisations. The candidate must also have proven skills in empirical social science methods (as opposed to critical or phenomenological approaches in humanities). Interdisciplinary profiles combining communication sciences and another field will also be considered. Candidates may have a research profile predominantly qualitative or quantitative, without requiring equivalent expertise in both approaches for research
A basic knowledge of quantitative methods is expected to contribute to teaching, especially at the Bachelor level. International research experience is an additional asset
Perfect command of French and a very good command of English are expected. Good knowledge of German is considered an additional asset
