Apprenticeship as Concrete Cutter EFZ

• Work preparations
• Reading and understanding plans
• Taking measurements and entering them in the plans to the correct scale
• Marking the components to be cut using levelling instruments or laser devices
• Preparing the necessary machines and tools such as saws, drills or milling machines
• Setting up the workplace, taking safety measures, e.g. putting up signs and barriers or securing scaffolding
• Sawing and drilling work
• Determining the exact positions where openings for doors, windows, lifts, ventilation shafts and other ducts need to be created
• Providing pumps and water drains as well as dust and splash protection devices
• Setting up, adjusting, operating and running machines and tools for concrete processing, such as drills, milling machines, wire, chain and other saws equipped with diamond segments
• Continuously monitoring the progress and quality of the work
• Demolition and cleaning work
• Demolishing buildings wholly or partially with various machines and using the correct tools for this
• Disposing of the cut-out parts, demolition materials and other construction waste in an environmentally friendly manner or sending them for recycling
• Writing work reports
• Cleaning and maintaining machines

• Secondary level A, B or good level C qualification
• Practical understanding
• Manual dexterity
• Spatial imagination
• Technical understanding
• Strong constitution
