Job Description
In this role, you will take overall responsibility for the logistics site as well as the property.
- Management of approximately 21 employees with one team leader
- Promotion of a positive, performance-oriented working climate through participative leadership and leading by example
- Operational coordination and monitoring of daily business; timely, flawless delivery of goods
- Planning and economical management of operating resources, vehicles and storage facilities; initiation of infrastructure work; contact person for administration
- Continuous process optimisation to increase productivity and quality; application of lean tools (e.g. 5S, SFM, value stream analysis)
- Participation in budgeting and ensuring operational cost transparency
- Utilisation of synergies and active participation in cross-site projects
- Responsibility for occupational safety and property; implementation of measures, training and controls; contact person for internal and external audits
Qualifications
- Solid education (e.g. certified logistics manager, HF technician in business processes with NDS business administration or equivalent qualification)
- Leadership experience in warehouse and distribution logistics
- Confident command of warehouse and distribution logistics processes
- In-depth knowledge of lean management for efficient design and continuous improvement of processes
- Sound professional knowledge in various systems (e.g. CRM, WMS, TMS)
- Solid understanding of business management issues
- Organised and structured working style that ensures oversight in projects
- Willingness for continuous self and team development as well as implementation of modern solution approaches
- Ability to shape and develop the operational daily business together with the management team
