Internship in Security and Risk Management 80 - 100%Shaping the future, minimizing risks
Correctional Services and Reintegration (JuWe) is part of the Directorate of Justice and the Interior of the Canton of Zurich and is responsible for penal and measure enforcement as well as the implementation of various types of detention. For our 1,400 employees from around 40 professions, the successful social reintegration of offenders, the prevention of recidivism, and the detention and preparation of the departure of persons without a valid residence permit are of particular importance.
The Security Department plays an important cross-sectional role and is attached to the Finance, Controlling & Logistics division.
We are looking for a reliable, empathetic, and team-oriented individual to start immediately, who is ready to contribute creatively to ongoing projects and the further development in the field of security. The internship is limited to twelve months.
Your tasks…
- Active participation in the continuous improvement of security standards at the office level
- Conducting thorough analyses as well as developing and writing forward-looking concepts and processes in the security environment
- Preparation, execution, and follow-up of meetings, workshops, interviews
- Identifying, assessing, and managing risks to ensure lasting security
- Proactive exchange and targeted communication with internal and external stakeholders to promote effective collaboration
Your profile…
- Completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (from a university or university of applied sciences) in psychology, social sciences (e.g., political science, international relations, history, law, economics), natural sciences, or computer science (among others)
- Interest in security and risk management – initial knowledge is an advantage
- Quick comprehension and strong organizational skills
- Strong analytical and conceptual abilities as well as confident writing skills
- Initiative and independent working style with a solution-oriented outlook
- Enjoyment of communication and teamwork, especially in dealing with various stakeholders
- High resilience even in challenging situations
