Head of Department Academic Study and Career Counseling 80 - 90%

As part of the Office for Youth and Career Counseling (AJB), which belongs to the cantonal Department of Education, the Career Information Centers (biz) inform, advise, and support young people and adults in all questions related to education and training, studies, profession, and career. At biz Oerlikon, several teams with around 60 employees provide, in addition to general career and career counseling for the Dielsdorf district, also specialized counseling and implementation services for the entire canton.

For the academic study and career counseling team, we are looking for as of June 1, 2026, or by arrangement:

a head of department
academic study and career counseling (80-90%)

For this demanding task, you have:
- a university degree in psychology as well as a MAS in Career, Study, and Career Counseling (BSLB)
- further training in leadership and management as well as leadership experience, ideally in the field of BSLB
- practical experience as a career, study, and career counselor as well as in-depth knowledge of the gymnasium environment and the Swiss higher education landscape
- good networking with relevant educational partners

You enjoy leading and promoting employees. High social and self-competence, especially pronounced decision-making ability as well as resource and solution orientation, strong communication skills, and the ability and joy to help shape change processes are therefore also among your strengths.
