Freight Forwarding Clerk Sea Freight Import/Export

Initial Situation

A specialised freight forwarding service provider, which develops and implements individual transport solutions, is seeking reinforcement for operational sea freight handling. We are looking for a person who is familiar with sea freight, keeps an overview even with complex shipments, and values contact with customers and international partners.

Tasks

• independently managing sea freight orders in import and export (LCL/FCL)
• coordinating transport details with shipping companies, warehouse operators and forwarding partners
• monitoring transit times and delivery dates
• preparing shipping, customs and freight documents
• advising and supporting customers throughout the entire transport process
• recording and maintaining orders and status reports in the system
• contributing to continuous process improvement in daily operations

Requirements

• completed training as a clerk in international freight forwarding
• practical experience in sea freight handling
• good knowledge of customs and documentation
• independent, structured and solution-oriented working style
• professional appearance and enjoyment of customer contact

IT Skills

MS Office - good knowledge

Languages

German: spoken and written good to very good
English: spoken and written fluent
