Your tasks:

• You take on the strategic leadership and further development of the Supply Chain Management department with 17 employees and apprentices

• You are responsible for the holistic control of the supply chain – from demand planning and procurement through scheduling and logistics to material provision, return, and disposal.

• You develop and are responsible for implementing the procurement and supplier strategies of the BVZ/MGB group and manage the supply chain based on relevant cost, inventory, availability, quality, and performance indicators

• You optimise material flows from supplier to customer and ensure high material availability with optimal stock levels and costs

• You actively participate in the management team of the Rolling Stock & Traction division as well as in working groups and expert committees within the railway industry

Your profile:

• You have several years of leadership experience in supply chain management roles as well as experience in supplier management and contract law.

• A higher business or technical education is ideally complemented by further training in purchasing (e.g. purchasing manager), supply chain management, or logistics.

• You have a strong understanding of material, goods, and information flows as well as a high affinity for digitalisation, automation, and data-based solutions

• You are a personable individual who brings a lot of initiative, implementation strength, connected and entrepreneurial thinking

• You think ahead, question the status quo, and implement changes.
