Wädenswil is an attractive town on the left shore of Lake Zurich with around 26,000 inhabitants. The city administration employs approximately 380 staff who provide comprehensive services to the population on a daily basis.

The Controlling department within the Finance division is responsible for the financial management of the entire financial budget of the city of Wädenswil. For our team, we are looking for a committed and analytical individual from 1 February 2027 or by arrangement as

Financial Controller with Subproject Management, 80 to 100 %

Your areas of responsibility

• Participation in financial planning, budgeting and reporting as well as in the multi-year financial plan
• Ensuring and further developing the Internal Control System (ICS) and risk management
• Preparation of well-founded analyses, key figures and decision-making bases for internal stakeholders (administration and politics)
• Advising managers on finance-related issues and preparing decision-making documents for the department management
• Leading (sub-)projects to further develop financial processes and systems
• Support in the annual financial statement process and ensuring data quality
• Maintenance and care of master data, further development of evaluations and reporting tools
• Contributing to the further development of financial controlling into a valued business partner with a recognisable added value for managers

What you bring

• Professional or university degree in business administration, finance, business informatics or a commercial apprenticeship with further training in controlling
• High IT affinity and enthusiasm for data-based solutions (e.g. BI tools, Power Query, Excel)
• Analytical, conceptual thinking and a high quality awareness
• Ability to independently familiarise yourself with new topics and implement demanding projects
• Independent, reliable personality with enjoyment of interdisciplinary collaboration
• Committed and loyal conduct as well as willingness to take responsibility
