Head of Locomotive Personnel

We always offer our customers the best possible service and their concerns are an opportunity for Thurbo to become even better. For this, we are looking for a Head of Locomotive Personnel 100% starting on 1 February 2027 or by arrangement.

In this key role in the operations area, you will take overall responsibility for the locomotive personnel and their managers. With your commitment, you make a decisive contribution to safe, punctual and customer-oriented railway operations.

• You ensure the personnel and professional leadership of the eight site managers.
• You further develop your own organisational unit (personnel, professional and cultural, economic) in line with the strategy and objectives.
• You are responsible for ensuring quality, safety and incident management.
• You create framework conditions, clarify responsibilities and provide scope for action for a trusting collaboration.
• You ensure forward-looking personnel and duty planning.
• You actively participate in projects, the development of processes and work equipment.
• You represent the company in internal and external expert committees as well as projects.

• You have completed training as a locomotive driver category B.
• You have further education at tertiary level: FH, university or equivalent (e.g. Master of Advanced Studies (MAS) or MAS in a second subject).
• You bring many years of industry experience and several years of leadership experience.
• You communicate confidently, clearly and empathetically – both orally and in writing.
• You are team-oriented, committed and take responsibility.
• You have very good MS Office skills.
