Your responsibility

• You operate and maintain the process engineering stages of the wastewater treatment plants using the process control system.
• You monitor the operating facilities, commission plants, detect faults and take measures to rectify faults.
• You overhaul and maintain machines and equipment and assist with the installation of new plants.
• You participate in cleaning and revision work.

Your background

• Completed training as a polymechanic EFZ, mechatronics technician EFZ or similar.
• You hold the VSA certificate or are willing to train as a VSA wastewater treatment operator (costs are covered by the employer).
• Independent, solution-oriented and responsible way of working.
• Driving licence category B, good PC skills (MS Office, process control system), as well as good German language skills in spoken and written form complete your profile.

Office for Industrial Enterprises

The Office for Industrial Enterprises (AIB) is a department of the Building and Environmental Protection Directorate of the Canton of Basel-Landschaft. With around 60 employees, we are responsible for 26 wastewater treatment plants, 175 kilometres of sewerage and 2 landfills. This includes not only operation but also maintenance, planning and construction of technical facilities. With our commitment, we protect our waters and ensure environmentally sound treatment of recyclable materials.

What else you should know

You will be gradually introduced to your new tasks at the wastewater treatment plants in Füllinsdorf, Sissach, Bubendorf and Niederdorf and benefit from the exchange of knowledge with experienced internal and external specialists. The training to become a VSA wastewater treatment operator takes place alongside work over a period of around two years.
