About the job
NZZ is one of the most significant private media companies in Switzerland. It focuses on high-quality, independent journalism and has represented bourgeois-liberal perspectives since 1780. In addition to the two flagships "Neue Zürcher Zeitung" and "NZZ am Sonntag", various other NZZ titles, event series, podcasts, and TV formats belong to the portfolio.NZZ Germany complements the international coverage with an independent perspective on German politics. The core of our well-founded reporting is political events at the federal level. We not only report what happens but also contextualise, analyse, and comment. Our editorial team is open to different viewpoints but not arbitrary. It stands for self-responsibility, a clear limitation of state action, and the interplay of democracy, pluralism, and free economy.
As part of the further expansion of our presence in Germany, we are looking for journalists with diverse strengths for our Berlin editorial team – explicitly also reporters who work close to political events, gather their own information, and develop stories from a good network.
What matters to us less is a narrowly tailored specialist profile than journalistic curiosity, judgement, and the ability to contextualise political developments within broader contexts."
