The Riviera-Chablais Hospital, Vaud-Valais (HRC), is an inter-cantonal reference hospital, bringing together more than 2,500 collaborators. The Rennaz Hospital Centre has more than 350 acute care beds. It is complemented by two Geriatric and Rehabilitation Clinics as well as two medical on-call services. All collaborators invest daily to provide quality care to patients, embodying the institution's values: authenticity, exemplary conduct, and innovation.
The Rennaz emergency department's mission is to welcome, assess, stabilise, and direct any adult requiring healthcare, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The medical and nursing team consists of more than 100 collaborators, welcoming around 35,000 patients per year.
The department is equipped with a reception and triage area, an ambulatory care zone (fast track) with 4 reception places open from 10am to 10pm, a 13-place care area for more complex cases, a short-stay hospitalisation unit with 9 beds, and a resuscitation room dedicated to the care of patients in absolute emergency.

- To welcome the patient and their relatives appropriately according to the situation, taking into account the patient’s health condition
from admission onwards - To ensure a structured and continuous care approach and clinical reasoning using institutional resources
- To contribute to the implementation of the patient’s care and orientation plan
- To keep the patient informed about the care plan, ensure their understanding and adherence, and actively involve them in the process
- To respond to the health and social life needs of patients, particularly assistance with activities of daily living, moral, spiritual and relational support, respecting their habits, values, and beliefs
- To prevent functional decline by stimulating activity and mobilisation of patients through individualised support adapted to each situation
We require
We require:
- A nursing diploma or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Swiss Red Cross
- Postgraduate training in emergency care, or one year’s experience in an emergency department or two years’ experience in acute care
- Excellent listening, observation, adaptability, anticipation skills, as well as good stress management
- A motivated, rigorous and dynamic person with a strong sense of responsibility
