Presentation
To complete its team, the Private Law Center of the Faculty of Law, Criminal Sciences and Public Administration is looking for a Graduate Assistant in Introduction to Law, Legal Methodology and Philosophy of Law.
Job-related information
Start date: 01.08.2026 or to be agreed
Contract duration: 1 year, renewable 2 x 2 years, maximum 5 years
Activity rate: 100% (80% assistantship and 20% practical methodology work)
Workplace: Lausanne Dorigny
Your activities
- 50% of the activity rate is dedicated to organizing and teaching practical work supporting other assistant-methodologists, supervising students in legal methodology (1st year) and those in philosophy of law (3rd year and Master), as well as collaborating on research and scientific publications;
- 50% is legally reserved for personal research (thesis).
Your profile
- Master's degree in Swiss law
- Doctoral thesis project in philosophy of law
- Interest in legal methodology, philosophy of law, and legal epistemology
- Doctoral thesis project at the University of Lausanne, authorized access to the doctorate
- Excellent command of French, good understanding of German, ease in legal research.
