About the job

Summary

Laboratory technicians specialising in biology research and develop new medicines together with scientists from the fields of biochemistry, biology and medicine. They test the mode of action of pharmaceutical substances. In doing so, they work with animals, cell cultures, bacteria and viruses. They plan experiments according to instructions, carry them out independently and record the course and results of the experiments. Their workplace is usually equipped with highly sensitive electronic measuring devices.

Secondary School A (ZH), Secondary School E (all other cantons except AG), District School

Languages:

German and English

Attractive Salary:

1st year of apprenticeship: CHF 850 per month
2nd year of apprenticeship: CHF 1,050 per month
3rd year of apprenticeship: CHF 1,400 per month

Holidays:

27 days per year (5 weeks and 2 days)

Cost Coverage:

CHF 530 for public transport in Northwestern Switzerland per year
CHF 600 for Bring Your Own Device
School books
