About the job
Introduction
A leading international teaching and research institution, UNIL has nearly 5,000 staff members and 17,000 students, distributed between the Dorigny campus and the CHUV and Epalinges sites. As an employer, it promotes excellence, recognition of individuals, and responsibility.
Presentation
The Faculty of Business and Economics (HEC) at the University of Lausanne is setting up a virtual internship programme in collaboration with York University (YU) and the University of Toronto in Canada. To this end, it is seeking a project manager who will be responsible for implementing these internships. Currently, YU offers virtual internships in which HEC Lausanne students can participate. Through a virtual reality platform, HEC Lausanne students work with students from YU and the University of Toronto on risk management and insurance projects proposed by companies. YU has created a virtual company (with virtual offices), and students will meet for two hours per week during the autumn 2026 semester on this virtual platform via their avatars (using HEC virtual reality headsets). Drawing inspiration from the programme currently managed by YU (autumn 2026 edition), the appointed person will need to develop the necessary tools so that such virtual internships can be managed directly by HEC Lausanne from September 2027. To do this, they will work closely with YU until the end of July 2027 to understand what is required and thus be able to replicate it in Lausanne.
