Job Description
Context
Our client, an international company, is looking for a DBA / Database Engineer to strengthen its Infrastructure team. You will be the technical reference on databases and work closely with the Infrastructure, Cloud and Development teams to ensure the availability, performance and evolution of data platforms.
Your missions
You will be involved in the entire database lifecycle:
- Administer and maintain SQL and NoSQL environments.
- Participate in patching, upgrades, backups, restorations and capacity planning operations.
- Optimise database performance in collaboration with development teams.
- Automate administrative tasks and improve operational processes.
- Participate in incident resolution, troubleshooting and improving observability.
- Contribute to security, compliance and data protection.
- Document procedures and share best practices.
Technical environment
- Databases: SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MariaDB/MySQL, MongoDB, CouchDB, Redis, Kafka.
- Environments: Virtual machines, Kubernetes, OpenShift.
- Monitoring: Grafana, Prometheus, ELK.
Qualifications
- Higher education in computer science.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position.
- Experience with at least two of the following technologies: SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MariaDB/MySQL, MongoDB, CouchDB, Redis or Kafka.
- Experience in infrastructure automation.
- Good knowledge of database administration (backup, restoration, performance, indexing, high availability, replication...).
- Ability to resolve complex technical incidents in production environments.
- Good command of SQL.
- Fluent English is essential, French is an asset.
