HYGA AG is a Swiss family business in its third generation, based in Rüti near Büren. For over 90 years, we have been developing and producing high-quality hygiene products for everyday use – baby nappies, sanitary pads, and incontinence products.

Automation Technician – PLC & Maintenance of Production Equipment (80–100%)
Our production equipment is the heart of the company. To ensure they run reliably, we need people who understand controls, systematically narrow down faults, and implement solutions directly on the equipment.
At HYGA, real work is done on machines: analysing, programming, adjusting, optimising. Siemens S5, S7 and TIA Portal as well as Allen-Bradley are used.
Your tasks
- You maintain our production equipment and rectify faults in electrical, control and mechanical systems
- You read, analyse and adapt PLC programmes
- You work on machine controls, master computers, drive systems and visualisations
- You optimise control processes, equipment functions and process safety – and further develop existing equipment
- You keep software and hardware documentation up to date
- You work closely with production and external specialists
Your profile
- Training as an Automation Technician with a Federal VET Diploma, Higher Technical School Automation Technician, Electrical Technician or a comparable technical qualification
- Experience with PLC controls in industrial production equipment – you can read, analyse and adapt programmes
- Knowledge of master computers, HMI/visualisation, drive technology as well as measurement and control technology is an advantage
- Good understanding of electrical, control and mechanical interrelationships and enjoyment of working directly on the equipment
- Independent, careful working style and willingness to take responsibility
- You remain calm and solution-oriented even in case of faults and think across departments
- Very good German language skills
- Willingness to work in a two-shift system; night or weekend shifts only in emergencies
