About the job

• Concept and design: Developing creative ideas and visual concepts for advertising materials, websites, brochures, flyers and social media channels
• Design: Implementing layouts, infographics, animations and image editing for print and digital media up to publication or print-ready production
• Corporate design: Applying and further developing the visual brand identity of the Bern University of Applied Sciences as well as ensuring a consistent appearance of the Departments of Architecture, Wood and Civil Engineering and Technology and Computer Science
• Collaboration: Close coordination with specialists from marketing, communication, events and web as well as cooperation with external service providers
• Project management: Independent planning and coordination of design projects as well as responsibility for deadlines, quality and implementation up to prepress

• Completed studies or a comparable qualification in graphic design, visual communication or communication design
• At least 3–5 years of professional experience in graphic or communication design
• Very good knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, especially Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign; knowledge of After Effects and handling of AI tools
• Strong sense of typography, layout and colour as well as a creative, independent, structured and reliable working style and enjoyment of teamwork
• Impressive portfolio with work samples demonstrating design and conceptual experience in print and digital media
