About the job

  Founded in 1923 as a family business, Furrer+Frey AG is today a nationally and internationally leading provider of overhead line systems for public transport. Development, planning, construction and maintenance of these systems are our core competencies. We also use this comprehensive know-how to realise compact charging stations for battery trains and integrate them optimally into the existing infrastructure.

Would you like to combine technology, leadership and innovative rail solutions? In rail electrification, you design demanding projects for a powerful and reliable rail infrastructure. Together with your team, you develop electrotechnical solutions, accompany projects from acquisition to successful completion and maintain exchange with customers as well as internal specialist departments. As team leader at the Bern site, you take responsibility for people, projects and the further development of our service offering. You bring willingness to travel if required and a category B driving licence. For the succession of our previous team leader, we are looking for a committed personality who will further develop these tasks with us.

Team Leader Rail Electrification

Tasks

• Technical and personnel leadership and development of the team
• Acquisition of rail electrification projects, customer support as well as responsibility for the technical and commercial handling of demanding projects
• Coordination of resource and deployment planning, ensuring efficient project organisation as well as monitoring of deadlines, costs, quality and project progress
• Responsibility for offer preparation and project controlling, assessment of order intake and project results as well as derivation of appropriate measures
• Technical support in the development of electrotechnical concepts, studies, specifications and technical documentation as well as contributing own expertise
• Promotion of cross-departmental collaboration, driving the development of new rail electrification solutions and optimisation of existing services

Requirements

• Experience in leading and managing technical projects, ideally in the railway power supply environment
• Completed university of applied sciences degree in electrical engineering or graduation from a higher technical school in electrical engineering or a comparable qualification
• Enjoyment of leadership tasks as well as ability to support, motivate employees and achieve common goals
• Strong customer orientation, negotiation skills as well as high communication and social competence
• Very good German skills as well as French and English skills at level B2 or higher
