ZURZACH Care is looking for people who want to volunteer for our patients, their family members, as well as visitors.
What is IDEM?
"In the Service of a Fellow Human", abbreviated IDEM, is a group of people who dedicate part of their free time unpaid to serve sick, needy, and often lonely people, taking on individual and patient-tailored care tasks. The goal of every IDEM volunteer is to make the hospital stay as pleasant as possible for the affected person as well as for those directly or indirectly involved in the recovery process.
Possible Activities
As an IDEM volunteer, you engage in exemplary forms of care:
– Accompany patients and/or family members/visitors to the cafeteria
– Small excursions
– Playing games, reading aloud, crafting
– Inquiries and joint visits to church services and concerts
– Writing letters and/or documents
– Running small errands
– Support and/or companionship during meals and drinks
– Sitting vigil
Of course, you will receive an introduction appropriate to your tasks and become part of the organisation, benefiting from all employee perks. You will learn about the purpose of our organisation, its structure, receive training on the use of technical aids and hygiene, and get to know the clinic and your colleagues.
