Would you like to specifically develop your expertise in the claims area and gain deeper insight into handling complex building damage cases? In the Skilled Network Claims (FNS), you have the opportunity to gradually expand your skills in building physics and building technology, deepen your practical knowledge, and prepare for a future specialist role as a Building Specialist Property Damage.
During your development in the FNS, you will be part of the Property Damage East team and act as a claims inspector as well as a contact person for structural questions. You will have the opportunity to specifically develop your construction expertise, analyse complex building damages, and gain practical experience during on-site inspections. Together with experienced colleagues, you will support the general agencies and the directorate with demanding building damages and continuously expand your professional expertise.
Your Impact with Us
The focus of your work is the handling of complex building damage cases in residential and commercial buildings. Step by step, you will take on more responsibility during on-site inspections, the assessment of damage causes, and the handling of demanding questions concerning building construction, building physics, and building technology.
With increasing experience, you will develop well-founded solutions for repairs and damage remediation and assist in estimating costs and efforts.
Additionally, you will advise colleagues on construction-related questions and contribute your knowledge in internal training and further education. In doing so, you will build a valuable network with craftsmen, planners, and other specialists that supports you in your daily work.
You can contribute your practical know-how and experience in projects, initiatives, and the further development of claims processes. At the same time, you will have the opportunity to continuously expand your expertise and develop both professionally and personally.
Your Profile
- Experience in the insurance sector or interest in acquiring relevant knowledge
- A higher education qualification in building physics (HF/FH) or a comparable qualification with practical experience in the construction or building sector
- Knowledge of building construction, building physics, and renovation. Experience with relevant SIA standards is an advantage
- The ability or motivation to analyse causes of complex damages, assess them thoroughly, and develop appropriate solutions
- Enjoyment of communication as well as interest in sharing knowledge and conducting training
- Resilience and willingness for on-site inspections and handling demanding damage cases
- An independent, structured, solution- and customer-oriented working style
- Initiative, reliability, negotiation skills, and a confident manner
- Very good German language skills. Additional language skills are welcome

Your Development Path in the FNS
This position is part of our Skilled Network Claims, abbreviated FNS. With this development programme, we specifically train specialists for important and specialised tasks in the claims area. This secures valuable knowledge, creates career perspectives, and prepares talents for future specialist roles.
You will be fully integrated into the Property Damage East team from day one and actively participate in daily business. Experienced specialists will accompany you in expanding your knowledge practically and gradually taking on more responsibility. Your development is guided by an individual development plan with clear goals. This is agreed upon together with you, your manager in Property Damage East, and the head of the FNS.
The goal is for you to qualify for the intended specialist role within about one to two years and then work permanently in this role in the claims area. Your employment is permanent from the outset.
