In the department Ventilation & EM we plan the most important safety engineering systems for underground structures. Are you motivated and interested in planning and implementing ventilation systems and escape routes for road and rail tunnels, metro stations, power plant facilities or other underground structures? Then you are exactly right with us!

TASKS THAT MOTIVATE

• Planning of the traffic space ventilation and ventilation for escape routes in road, rail and metro tunnels
• Planning of aerodynamically stressed doors / gates in underground facilities
• Demanding aerodynamic & thermodynamic calculations / simulations
• Project management with BIM (from planning to commissioning)
• Definition of control strategies for complex tunnel ventilation systems
• Preparation of tender documents
• On-site construction management / specialist construction supervision during equipment installation and commissioning
• Consulting customers and partners

QUALIFICATIONS THAT CONVINCE

• Successful degree as a mechanical engineer UNI/ETH/FH or equivalent
• Study focus: Aerodynamics / Fluid Dynamics / Thermodynamics (Bachelor and/or Master thesis in these focuses)
• Entry-level or young engineer with some years of professional experience in planning tunnel ventilation systems
• Independent and responsible working style
• Good knowledge in the use of MS Office and MATLAB
• Knowledge in the use of calculation and CFD programmes for aerodynamic / thermodynamic tasks is an advantage
• Very good German skills in spoken and written form. Knowledge of English, French and/or Italian is an advantage
• High quality awareness
• Teamwork and communication skills
